ABOUT
Dawie Visser is a senior attorney with a proud record of academic achievements, professional integrity, and service excellence. He obtained the BA (Law) and LLB degrees at Stellenbosch University and an LLM degree at the University of South Africa, specializing in litigation. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in estate administration from the University of South Africa.
Dawie was a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Military Science of the University of Stellenbosch before completing his articles at JW Rauch & Company in Ceres in 1992. He became a partner at Rauch-Visser until November 1993 whereafter he joined Kempen & Kempen Attorneys in Victoria-West in the Karoo. He later founded MD Visser & Partners with offices in Richmond, Hanover, De Aar and Beaufort-West.
He currently specializes in commercial contracts and civil litigation with a strong focus on the agricultural, mining, energy and sports sectors. He was successfully involved in several water law cases, and litigation on behalf of Wool SA against the former Wool Board and has appeared successfully on behalf of many clients in criminal trials including in the High Court of South Africa.

He is proud to represent a number of well-known agricultural businesses, co-operations, municipalities, and schools. He also serves as a trustee for some reputable Trusts, both in the Western- and Northern Cape. Dawie is currently acting as a legal advisor for a number of major international entities doing business in South Africa in the agricultural, mining, energy and sports environments.
He served for six years as chairperson for Circle 4 and Circle 5 of the Cape Law Society. He is also an Appraiser and Commissioner for the Small Claims Courts.
He is married to Elna and the proud father of Elma, Gideon, and Marietjie.
